Mick Westby has always drawn and started painting in his late teens. He was never taught art at school but eventually became an engineering draughtsman and designer, now retired. Watercolours and alkyds are his favourite mediums and his subject matter is diverse, varying from local views to figurative studies and works of a surreal flavour.
